Thursday 26th November is Carers Rights Day. This year’s theme is ‘know your rights’.

Whether you are new to a caring role or have been in a caring role for a while, it is important that you understand what you are entitled to and what support is available around you. This day is dedicated to raising awareness and ensuring all carers know and understand their rights and entitlements.

Whatever stage of your caring journey you’re at, you need to know your rights: whether they are in the workplace, in a healthcare setting, when interacting with professionals or at home.

We have a Near You directory that can help you find organisations and charities in your local area that can support you.

Carers UK have a wealth of information and resources on their website. If you need help and advice with finances, work, your health, technology, taking a break or your relationships, Carers UK are here to support you.

Carers Trust is another amazing charity that works to support unpaid carers always. If you need support with Carer’s Allowance, your health and wellbeing or condition-specific support, Carers Trust is here.

Do you have a question about caring? Send us a message on our social media – we are always here!
